Solipsism




 


Solipsism is a theory that says that nothing exists but the individual's consciousness. It basically implies that everything that happens is actually just made up in your mind. At first, this sounds crazy, but when you really get to thinking about it, there's no way to really disprove this theory. You might think, "Well, other people hear and see the same things, so they might be real." But what if those people are just fragments of your imagination as well? What if everything is a dream? The subject of solipsism is very slippery. The reality is that you can't get out of your POV, and from this, it follows that there is nothing but your POV. It is impossible that there is. It is as if it were an absolutely inaccessible dimension, since if you accessed it, it would be your perspective. So, reality is your POV and everything inside your POV is just something inside your POV. For example, the people of Australia—it's just an idea from your point of view. The people you see on the street are things in your POV. Do they have a POV? It seems obvious that yes, absolutely everything has it. Everything in your perspective is alive. So how can they have a POV if there is nothing outside of your POV? Here is the tricky thing: You are not you; you are the absolute reality; let's call it God. There is only one perspective, that of God, and it is an infinite perspective since reality is infinite. Nothing is finite; it only seems so. So, your POV and other people's POV are the same pov. the only point. There are no other people or other things; it just seems so. the same as your perspective seems finite, and that of those people too. It is a trick to divide the absolute into relative infinities. It's the same person with a different appearance. If you take a psychedelic and become infinite, it means that you have merged all the perspectives for a moment. The appearance of separation has been broken, but it immediately returns since that is its inertia. So, in the end, only your perspective exists, and this could be said of the infinite POVs.
